Tiger Depack lands in Australia

FOCUS Enviro is pleased to announce that we have gained the exclusive rights to distribute Tiger Depack’s  full range of depackaging solutions.

The value of organic waste is growing as compost and bioenergy production increases, creating a higher demand for source material. Food waste is the last major source of unrecovered organics. Each year we waste around 7.3 million tonnes of food. This wastage equals about 300kg per person and accounts for more than five per cent of Australia’s greenhouse gas emissions.

Tiger Depack has been developing technical solutions to improve food waste recovery for over ten years. The Tiger Depackaging System allows companies to feed, separate, process and extract organics in one machine to recover value from discarded and expired food.

Food waste, production waste and scraps from waste treatment processes are just a few examples of the main waste streams valued by Tiger Depack packagers.

Thanks to the great reliability of the machinery and the in-depth study of the types of waste to be recovered, the Tiger de-packagers allow a significant reduction in disposal costs in compliance with environmental regulations.

The first Tiger Depack solution (produced twelve years ago) was able to recover up to 98% of the organic content, had a footprint of 20 square meters and processed up to 15 tons per hour of waste.

MAIN APPLICATIONS

The main applications of the Tiger system include the depackaging of Source Separated Organic (SSO)
or expired products, the recovery of waste treatment and production plant streams in which the Tiger is
directly connected to the production line.
Tiger has been the best technological solution for the treatment and recovery of the most complex material for over 10 years. Tiger DePack technology can potentially be used in a multitude of applications.

THE TIGER DEPACK PROCESS

Engineered specifically for material depackaging and organic separation, the innovative Tiger Depackaging System combines the action of a shredder, screen and extrusion auger all in one piece of equipment. After materials (wet or dry) are loaded into the hopper, the unique action separates the organic fraction from the inorganic packaging. This produces contaminant-free organics and clean, dry inorganics. The consistency of the discharged organics can be either solid or liquid depending on desired needs. No pretreatment or material prep needed. Just turn it on, load it up, and have it process product to generate more revenue from your source material.
