FOCUS enviro attending AWRE 2019

Not long to go until the annual Australasian Waste and Recycling Expo (AWRE) in Sydney on 30-31 Oct, and the Focus Enviro team will be there with our new partner, globally renowned industrial shredding manufacturer UNTHA.

Stationed on stand A40, we’ll be on hand to chat to delegates about their waste equipment needs, introduce our latest partner UNTHA, plus showcase another industry-first technology from M&K.

It’s no secret that we’re well-versed in providing equipment for the waste and organic industries, but we’re always looking to expand our portfolio of equipment with market-leading partners, our latest of which – UNTHA – will be delivering a seminar at the expo.

In recent months, waste management and exports have been put under the microscope by the Government, so what’s next for our country’s environmental agenda?

Armed with almost 30 years’ experience in the industry, Gary Moore, director of global business development at UNTHA, is joining us at the expo for a session that will explore Australia’s future resources and the role Refuse Derived Fuel (RDF) and Process Engineered Fuel (PEF) might play in shaping the country’s environmental future.

Delegates will hear how similar challenges to those in Australia have been overcome in both Europe and the USA, focusing on how industry innovation allowed for increased environmental compliance plus the ability to harness the wealth that can be found in residual waste.

From looking at the UK’s Waste Hierarchy model, to recognising alternative fuels as a resource and not a waste, Gary will be delving into all this and more. See our latest article from Sustainability Matters The role of RDF/PEF in Australia’s future resource strategy

If you’re attending AWRE and would like to find out more about RDF and PEF in Australia’s future, Gary’s seminar – entitled RDF and PEF – Australia’s future resources? – will take place between 15:15-16:00 on Wednesday 30th October.
